Post Mortem · Early access

Buy the product that exists today.

Effective July 15, 2026. These terms apply to the paid Post Mortem panel, installer, and offline license. The public engine and Reaper Daemon keep their separate MIT licenses.

What the $39 purchase includes

Post Mortem version 0.1 early access for an Apple silicon Mac running REAPER 7 or newer. The current product includes Track Check, Fix Preview, the native installer, the local engine, Reaper Daemon, ReaImGui, SWS, and one unique offline version 1 license.

Your version 1 license does not expire. It includes version 1 updates released during the 12 months following purchase. Continued updates after that date may require a paid update, but the version you already licensed keeps working.

What is not included yet

Mix Check, local Sonic Memory, history, hosted model credits, automatic update checks, Windows paid delivery, and Linux paid delivery are planned work. They are not present features and are not promised for a specific date. Model-provider charges are separate. Version 0.1 uses your Anthropic API key or an attached MCP client.

Important capture limit

Post Mortem only diagnoses a track when it can prove the capture contains that track alone. The current path supports verified item-less routing and bus tracks. Ordinary tracks containing media items may be refused. A refusal is expected safety behavior, not a promise that every REAPER track can be analyzed.

License

The purchase grants one person a non-transferable license to use the paid Post Mortem version 1 panel and installer on that person's own Apple silicon Macs. You may keep personal backup copies. You may not sell, share, publish, sublicense, or redistribute the paid panel, installer, license file, or private download link. The license does not transfer ownership of the software or private source code.

Support

Early-access support covers installation, license activation, and reproducible product defects by email at david@deadpixeldesign.com. Support is best effort and has no guaranteed response time or service-level agreement. It does not include mixing services, REAPER training, model-provider billing, or repairs to unrelated plug-ins and projects.

30-day refund policy

You may request a refund within 30 calendar days of purchase. Email the purchase address and receipt to david@deadpixeldesign.com. A refunded purchase loses access to new downloads, support, and future updates. Local copies already downloaded must be deleted, and the license may no longer be used or shared.

Privacy

Raw capture audio stays on your computer. Post Mortem sends measurements and relevant project metadata, such as track names, plug-in names, parameter names, and routing details, to the model provider or MCP client you choose. That provider's terms apply to the metadata it receives.

Stripe processes payment and billing information. Dead Pixel Design receives the purchaser email, product, transaction status, and receipt details needed for delivery, refunds, and support. Vercel private storage holds the installer, license inventory, and purchase assignment. The delivery link contains a signed purchase token and expires after 30 days. Purchase records are not sold.

Warranty and responsibility

Post Mortem is provided as early-access software. Back up important REAPER projects before applying changes. Preview is temporary and Apply creates one named REAPER undo point, but no software can replace project backups. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dead Pixel Design is not responsible for indirect losses, lost sessions, lost income, or third-party service failures.
